Centre Objectives

• Coordinate, monitor and fortify the implementation of industrial training in line with the mission and vision of UIS.

• Plan and coordinate systematically the Industrial Attachment Programme for academic and administrative staff.

• Connect and reinforce the network between external industries and UIS in vitalising and introducing UIS in the eyes of industry players.

• Organise community activities in collaboration with the Putra Mahkota Knowledge City Main Implementation Committee specifically for the Putra Mahkota Town Community with UIS as a knowledge sharing centre.

Centre Functions

• Formulate strategic plans and annual planning related to industry link and collaboration with the local community.

• The Community & Industry Networking Centre functions to plan, coordinate and implement industrial training programmes in each faculty on semester basis.

• Create a network with the industry through MoUs, MoAs and academic and industry collaboration.

• Aid in the sustainability of UIS through obtaining sponsorship from industry.

• Highlight the expertise available at UIS to be marketed domestically and internationally.

• Organise various types of scientific activities for the Putra Mahkota Knowledge Town Community.

• Organise a Community Programme that may help those in need among the residents of Bandar Seri Putra and Bukit Mahkota, in collaboration with the Putra Mahkota Knowledge City Main Committee.
