Division Objectives

• Plan and implement literacy programmes to enhance users' skills.

• Coordinate community engagement programmes to promote the UIS and PIAS brands.

• Provide accurate, comprehensive, and up-to-date information services.

• Monitor circulation services, as well as binding and repair activities for informational materials.

Division Functions

REFERENCE AND CIRCULATION SECTION (SRS)

• Manage circulation services, including borrowing, returning, renewing, and reserving materials.

• Coordinate shelving and shelf-reading activities, including stock checks of printed materials.

• Ensure library facilities are well-maintained and ready for use.

• Manage Interlibrary Loan (ILL) and Document Delivery Services to fulfill user requests for materials not available in the library’s collection.

BINDING AND MATERIAL REPAIR SECTION (SPPB)

• Preserve the existing library collection through binding and repair of materials.

• Assist in managing reservations and controlling access to limited-loan materials.
